Albany is unique in that it resides both within Benton and Linn counties. Albany is the largest city in Linn County and serves as the county seat. Albany is also the second largest city in Benton County. The town is located in the beautiful Willamette Valley on the banks of the Willamette and the Calapooia River. The city population is recorded as 44,030 making Albany the 12th largest city in Oregon.
